An Auspice ABA Sitter uses the principles of ABA therapy to support and care for children, particularly those with autism or other developmental disorders.
ABA is a highly structured and evidence-based approach focused on teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors while reducing undesirable behaviors. Here's what an ABA sitter will typically do:
Behavioral Support:
Sitters use strategies to encourage positive behaviors (e.g., communication, social skills, and self-help skills) and discourage challenging behaviors (e.g., tantrums, aggression).
Sitters may implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA).
Skill Development:
